Frequently asked questions

Does 10kW mean the kit includes 10kW of solar panels?
No. The inverter is rated 10kW AC. The included solar array is twelve 550W panels, totaling 6.6kW STC.
How much battery energy is actually available?
The two batteries provide 32.14kWh rated and 30.84kWh listed usable DC energy. Delivered AC energy will be lower after reserves, temperature effects, wiring losses, and inverter conversion.
Can it run an entire off-grid home?
Possibly, but the answer depends on peak load, 240V loads, motor surges, daily kWh use, climate, solar resource, generator strategy, and reserve targets. A load and production model is required.
Is everything needed for installation included?
No. The package includes the listed core equipment and selected breakers/cables/brackets. Most sites still need engineered racking, grounding, conduit, disconnect enclosures, service equipment, additional conductors, permits, and labor.
Why does Torven call out the battery cable and breaker sizing?
The official kit BOM lists a 200A breaker and 1/0 AWG cable item, while the current inverter manual recommends different full-output battery-circuit sizing. A qualified designer must validate the exact circuit, length, ampacity, and protection before installation.
