The Renogy Rover 20A MPPT Charge Controller is a practical controller-only choice for smaller RV, van, boat, cabin and backup arrays. Its local LCD supports setup and status checks, while the G2 communication interface allows a compatible optional monitoring module.

This is the controller-only G2 listing. Renogy's current G2 product guidance identifies RS485 and BT-2 rather than the older RS232/BT-1 combination. If you want monitoring, send Torven Power a photo of the controller label and port so we can match the module.
System fit
Verify array power, cold-weather Voc and battery chemistry together.
Keep the array within the 260W/12V or 520W/24V power limit and below the 95V PV ceiling after cold-weather correction. Use the G2 manual packed with the controller for conductor size, protection and connection order.
Battery connectionConnect and protect the battery side in the documented order before energizing PV; lithium parameters must match the battery maker's limits.
Optional monitoringA compatible BT-2 module is sold separately for the G2 RS485 interface. Connector appearance alone is not enough to establish compatibility.

How much solar can I connect on 12V?
Renogy lists up to 260W, provided the array also remains within the PV voltage and current limits.
Can it operate a 24V battery bank?
Yes. Renogy lists up to 520W of PV on a compatible 24V bank.
Does this include Bluetooth?
No. This is Torven's controller-only G2 SKU; a compatible monitoring module is separate.
Can it charge lithium below freezing?
The controller includes low-temperature protection logic, but the battery's own charging limits and sensor configuration remain controlling. Never charge outside the battery manufacturer's permitted range.
