Why this Renogy product

A controller sized for demanding stationary or mobile arrays

Wide bank-voltage supportThe controller supports 12V through 48V systems and common sealed, gel, flooded and lithium battery profiles.
High-efficiency harvestingRenogy lists up to 99% tracking efficiency and 98% peak conversion efficiency.
Expandable monitoringRS232 and RS485 ports support compatible BT-1/BT-2 modules and Renogy ONE/DC Home monitoring.

System fit

Design the complete PV string before connecting the controller.

Confirm array Voc at the coldest expected temperature, maximum input power at the selected battery voltage, conductor ampacity, external overcurrent protection and the exact battery charge profile. Auto-recognition applies to non-lithium banks; lithium voltage must be configured correctly.

PV limitsKeep the array below 150V at 25°C and 140V at -25°C, as well as under the wattage limit for the selected bank voltage.
Large conductorsRenogy lists up to 4 AWG terminals. Final cable and protection sizing must follow the manual and installation conditions.

In the box

What this listing is documented to include

  • Rover 100A MPPT solar charge controller
  • Remote temperature sensor
  • Controller paralleling cable

Bluetooth module, PV/battery cables, breakers or fuses, disconnects and mounting hardware beyond what Renogy explicitly supplies are not included.

Product confidence

Three-year Rover controller warranty

Renogy lists a 3-year material-and-workmanship warranty for the Rover 100A controller. Current written terms and proof-of-purchase requirements apply.

Common questions

Buyer FAQ

Can it run a 48V battery bank?

Yes. Renogy lists 12V, 24V, 36V and 48V support; non-lithium bank voltage can be auto-recognized.

How much solar can it accept?

The limit is 1,300W/12V, 2,600W/24V, 3,900W/36V or 5,200W/48V, subject to the voltage and current limits.

Does it include Bluetooth?

No Bluetooth module is listed in the controller package. It supports compatible BT-1 or BT-2 modules sold separately.

Can two Rover 100A controllers be paralleled?

Renogy documents controller paralleling and includes a paralleling cable. Follow the current manual rather than improvising the communication or power wiring.
