The RICH SOLAR NOVA 12K is a 48V hybrid inverter for larger off-grid, backup and supported grid-interactive systems. It combines split-phase AC output, dual solar inputs, battery charging and system communications in one wall-mounted platform for cabins, ADUs, homes and agricultural sites.

Model RS-H12K accepts up to 12,000W of PV under its published limits and delivers 10,000W / 10,000VA rated AC output. Size loads and protection from the 10,000W output rating.
Array and battery fit
Engineer both sides of the inverter before ordering.
PV inputPublished PV range is 120–550VDC with 125V startup. The two MPPT inputs are listed at 2 × 18A with 30A peak. Calculate cold-weather string Voc before installation.
Battery bankPublished battery range is 40–62VDC with up to 200A charging. Confirm the bank’s BMS, continuous and surge current, communications, conductors and protection.
At 10,000W output, battery-side current can exceed 200A after conversion losses. The final bank and conductor design must support the inverter’s actual operating mode and load profile without exceeding any component limit.
Installation and compliance
A hardwired power-conversion system—not a plug-in appliance
The NOVA 12K weighs 112 lb and measures 8.5 × 20.3 × 28.1 in. It requires a suitable wall, working clearances, ventilation, grounding, DC and AC disconnects, overcurrent protection and wiring sized to the applicable code and manufacturer instructions.
Grid interaction requires local approvalThe manufacturer lists UL 1741 SA/SB, CSA C22.2 No. 107.1, IEEE 1547 and CEC-related compliance. Utility interconnection and permitting still depend on the exact equipment revision, system design, local authority and utility requirements.

NOVA 12K FAQ
Is the AC output 12,000 watts?
No. The published rated AC output is 10,000W / 10,000VA. The 12,000W figure is the maximum PV input power.
Can it run both 120V and 240V loads?
It supports documented split-phase configurations. The panel, grounding, neutral and load distribution must be designed and commissioned according to the manual and applicable electrical code.
How many batteries do I need?
That depends on desired runtime, load profile, surge, bank current limits and charging strategy. Size the bank in both kWh and current—not capacity alone.
Can I install it myself?
This is high-power, hardwired equipment. Installation, permitting and commissioning should be handled by a qualified professional familiar with battery, PV, split-phase AC and local interconnection requirements.
