The ASS030700000 is the separately ordered bag of two Victron VE.Can RJ45 terminators. These small network components belong at the ends of a correctly wired VE.Can chain. They help complete the communication wiring for compatible Victron equipment; they do not add a monitoring screen, an internet connection or another device to the system.

Victron instructs installers to terminate a VE.Can network at both ends. This package provides two terminators. Some VE.Can equipment already includes a pair, so check the package contents of your connected devices before ordering extras. The manufacturer photo shows the individual plug; this sellable package contains two.

Match the protocol as well as the connector

RJ45 describes a physical connector used by several different interfaces. Select this product for the VE.Can application specified in the equipment manual. Do not select it solely because another port looks like an Ethernet socket or assume that it is an interchangeable VE.Bus accessory.

Plan the complete communication chain

List the devices, supported interfaces and cable routing before installation. The terminators are end components rather than communication leads. Purchase suitable RJ45 UTP interconnect cables and monitoring equipment separately, and follow the connected product’s wiring diagram for the location of each end.

Will this connect a device to VRM?

No. Remote monitoring requires compatible monitoring hardware, supported communication wiring and an internet connection. A terminator only performs its network-end function.
