Choose the exact 120V NEMA 5-15R inverter
Victron PIN121800500 converts compatible 12V DC battery power into 120V AC for appropriately sized loads. This listing is the NEMA 5-15R version, distinct from 230V and GFCI outlet variants.
Understand the usable output
The 12/800 is rated for 800VA and 650W continuous output at 25°C, falling to 560W at 40°C. Its 1,500W peak rating is for startup demand, not continuous operation. Check appliance running power, starting surge and battery capacity before selecting an inverter.
Configure through VE.Direct
Adjust supported settings through the VE.Direct communication interface. A VE.Direct-to-USB cable is needed for a computer connection, or a separate VE.Direct Bluetooth Smart dongle for compatible wireless devices. Bluetooth is not built into this model.
Reduce idle demand with ECO mode
ECO mode lets the inverter enter standby when the connected load falls below its configured threshold, then periodically check for a load. The unit also supports a remote on/off connection and LED status indication.
Plan the DC installation
Use a suitable 12V battery, correctly sized DC cables and fuse protection, chassis grounding and ventilation. IP21 protection requires a sheltered installation; this is not a waterproof outdoor inverter. This product is an inverter, not a battery charger or an automatic transfer switch.

Before you buy
Is this an 800W inverter? No. The legacy 12/800 specification is 800VA, with 650W continuous real-power output at 25°C. Use the exact SKU and delivered product manual.
Does it include GFCI protection? This is the NEMA 5-15R SKU, not the separate GFCI version. Confirm the protection required for your installation with a qualified installer. Do not assume a certification listed only for the GFCI version applies here.
