Controlled alternator charging for a 12V service battery
The Victron Orion XS 12/12-50A offers adjustable DC-DC charging for dual-battery installations.
Exact supplier SKU ORI121217050 is the 12V-to-12V 50A model. Built-in Bluetooth lets you configure and monitor charging through VictronConnect, while engine-running detection and configurable input current help manage the starter-battery and alternator connection.
Match the charger to your system
Set charging parameters for your battery manufacturer’s requirements and alternator capacity. This is a non-isolated charger, not the mixed-voltage Orion XS 1400 or the 70A model. Cables, fuses, batteries and optional monitoring equipment are separate. Follow Victron’s mounting, cooling and fuse requirements.
The VE.Direct port supports a compatible GX connection for optional remote monitoring; a GX device and internet access are required for VRM. See the 0.9m VE.Direct cable and choose the length that fits your installation.
