SYSTEM FIT & BUYING SUPPORT
Choose the right system component
Match the exact model and part number to your system voltage, communication interfaces and installation requirements. Review the manufacturer manual before selecting optional accessories.
The Victron Energy MultiPlus-II combines an inverter, battery charger and AC transfer switch for a 48 V battery system. This listing is for exact part PMP482505120, with 120 V AC output and 5000 VA / 4000 W continuous inverter capacity at 25°C.
PowerControl adjusts battery charging to respect the AC source current limit. PowerAssist can supplement that supply with battery power during higher demand. The main output supports connected loads when incoming AC fails; the auxiliary output is powered only while external AC is available.
System requirements
One unit supplies 120 V. A 120/240 V split-phase system requires compatible additional units, correct configuration and a complete system design. Batteries, solar charging equipment, installation cabling and protection devices are selected separately. Optional GX monitoring equipment, VE.Bus Smart dongle and MK3-USB interface are separate accessories. Remote VRM monitoring requires a GX device and internet access.

What else does the installation require?
Choose compatible batteries, wiring, overcurrent protection and transfer equipment for the exact system design. Verify voltage and startup loads with your installer; an inverter rating alone does not establish a complete home backup solution.
