VICTRON MULTIPLUS COMPACT
24V battery power with integrated 120V charging and transfer
Combine a 2,000VA inverter, 50A battery charger and 50A AC transfer switch in one compact system component. Continuous real-power output is 1,600W at 25°C.
Exact SKU CMP242200100. Battery bank and installation equipment are separate.
A compact inverter/charger for a 24V battery installation
The Victron MultiPlus Compact 24/2000/50-50 120V converts energy from a compatible 24V battery bank into AC power and recharges that bank when a suitable AC source is available. It suits modular RV, off-grid and backup projects where the inverter, charging and transfer functions need to work together.
Choose by watts as well as VA
The 2,000VA rating corresponds to 1,600W continuous real-power output at 25°C. Continuous power is 1,450W at 40°C, with a listed 4,000W peak rating. Check appliance starting requirements separately, along with battery, BMS and cable current limits. Adding battery capacity does not increase inverter output power.
Work with a limited shore or generator supply
PowerControl allows charging to respect a configured AC supply limit. PowerAssist can supplement a limited incoming supply with battery energy for demand peaks, then use spare AC capacity to recharge when demand falls. The complete installation still needs appropriately rated wiring and protection.
Keep inverter, charger and transfer functions together
The inverter supplies connected AC loads from the battery when the incoming AC source is unavailable. The integrated 50A transfer function handles the AC source path. Unlike the larger 3kVA MultiPlus models, this 2kVA Compact does not have a second auxiliary AC output.
Configure the battery charging correctly
Match the adaptive charging settings to the battery manufacturer and BMS requirements. A compatible lithium battery installation needs appropriate charger/load control; this inverter does not replace the battery management system. Its DC input range is 19–33V, and the nominal bank is 24V.
Plan the complete installation
- Energy storage: a compatible 24V bank and its required BMS.
- Electrical protection: correctly sized DC cables, fusing, disconnects and AC distribution.
- Solar charging: separate solar panels and a compatible solar charge controller.
- Monitoring: optional GX equipment or a VE.Bus Smart dongle, with the required communication wiring.
This purchase is one CMP242200100 inverter/charger. The battery, solar equipment, optional monitoring devices and installation materials are separate. Fit the IP21 enclosure in a suitable protected location with the required ventilation and access.
MultiPlus Compact buying questions
Does one unit supply 240V split phase?
No. This unit provides 120V AC output. More complex system configurations require additional equipment and the manufacturer-approved design and setup process.
Is Bluetooth built in?
No. Bluetooth monitoring uses a separately sold compatible VE.Bus Smart dongle. A compatible GX device can add broader system monitoring and VRM access with an internet connection.
Is this a 2,000W inverter?
Its apparent-power rating is 2,000VA. The continuous real-power rating is 1,600W at 25°C. Size the appliance load using the watt rating and temperature conditions.
Compare inverters and inverter/chargers before matching your bank voltage, AC loads and recharge source.
