Finish the terminal area of the installation

The MPPT WireBox provides a cover over the solar charger’s DC terminals to help prevent accidental contact with terminal screws. This can be particularly useful in a general-access installation area. It complements correct installation; it does not replace sound electrical design, cable protection or the charger’s installation requirements.

This exact supplier SKU is WireBox-L Tr. The manufacturer identifies it for 150/60, 150/70, 250/60 and 250/70 Tr controller sizes. Other WireBox sizes and MC4 versions have different fitment. A terminal cover rather than a charger or combiner

The offered product is the mechanical WireBox accessory. It does not contain an MPPT controller, add solar charging capacity or provide a replacement for fuses and disconnects. Plan installation before wall mounting

The manufacturer’s quick guide instructs the installer to fit the steel base to the MPPT before installing it on the wall. After wall mounting, the cables are secured, then the cover is fitted and fastened with two screws. Review the guide before mounting an existing controller, since adding the base may require access behind or around the charger.

Keep the wiring layout serviceable

Allow room for the cable routes and installation sequence shown in the guide. Correct cable preparation, terminal tightening and access are still required even though the finished connections are covered. Have the installer follow the charger manual for conductor size, protection and clearances; the cover itself does not establish those electrical ratings.
