Choose the UTP control version deliberately

REC030001210 is the Inverter Control panel for the documented UTP remote monitoring and control connection. It is different from the Inverter Control VE.Direct panel. A connector shape or a shared Phoenix family name does not establish compatibility. Check the exact inverter model and its remote-control port before ordering.

Check the manufacturer model list

Victron lists 12/1200, 12/1600, 12/2000, 12/3000, 12/5000, 24/1200, 24/1600, 24/2000, 24/3000, 24/5000, 48/3000 and 48/5000 for this panel. The inverter must also have the specified UTP remote monitoring/control socket. The panel is not a universal remote for every Victron inverter or inverter/charger.

The manufacturer photo shows inverter-on, overload, low-battery and temperature indications alongside the on/off control. These indications put useful operating information at the panel location. They do not turn the accessory into a battery monitor, energy meter or network-connected monitoring display. Use the appropriate additional monitoring hardware if those functions are required.

Automatic dimming for lower-light locations

Victron states that the LED brightness is automatically reduced at night. This can help when the panel is fitted near a sleeping area or another space where a bright status display would be distracting. Choose a visible, accessible mounting location while respecting the panel and connected inverter installation instructions.

Understand the MultiPlus use case

Victron describes use with a MultiPlus inverter/charger when automatic transfer-switch operation is desired without charger operation. That is a specific operating requirement and should be checked against the exact MultiPlus documentation. If you need normal charging control or adjustable shore-current management, confirm the correct control accessory instead of assuming this panel supplies those functions.

Plan the panel opening and connection

The supplier lists 65 × 60 × 40mm overall dimensions. Use the linked exact REC030001210 drawing for mounting-hole and cutout details; overall size is not the required cutout. One remote panel is supplied. Confirm the required UTP connection cable and route separately, and do not assume a cable or wall enclosure is included unless the package explicitly specifies it.
