Cyrix-i 24/48V 400A Battery Combiner
Combine two compatible 24V banks or two compatible 48V banks with a 400A continuous-duty relay and microprocessor-controlled voltage sensing. This exact CYR020400000 is the 24/48V version, rather than the separate 12/24V model.
Match both banks to the same nominal voltage
Automatic 24V/48V selection supports an input range of 16–72V DC. It does not convert 24V into 48V and must not be used to directly parallel banks with different voltages. Match the charger settings, battery chemistry and installation design before selecting a combiner.
Separate continuous and momentary ratings
The manufacturer rates this model for 400A continuously and 2000A for one second. Check the entire current path, including cables, fuses, terminals and battery capability. The momentary rating is not a continuous load allowance, and the relay does not impose a charging-current limit on an alternator or other source.
Follow charging behavior in either direction
The Cyrix-i senses voltage on both sides and follows voltage trends and programmed timing to decide when to connect or separate the banks. Four selectable timing profiles allow the installer to choose an appropriate response for the charging arrangement. This avoids relying on a simple instantaneous voltage threshold alone.
Plan controls and status access
A bicolor LED provides status information, and a microswitch supports remote monitoring. A separately selected external control can request an approximately 30-second start-assist parallel connection. Wire these functions to the official diagram; monitoring and control circuits do not replace the required protection in the main battery circuit.
Allow room for a substantial battery connection
Dimensions are 78 × 102 × 110mm in height, width and depth, with an approximate weight of 0.9kg. Open-state current draw is under 4mA. Provide a protected installation location, suitable access and terminal insulation according to the manual. Plan the cable routing before choosing the mounting position.
What is included?
One exact CYR020400000 Cyrix-i 24/48V-400A battery combiner. Batteries, main cables, fuses, switches and other installation equipment are separate. The photo identifies the 24/48V version; do not use the similar family name to select the 12/24V part.
When is a DC-DC charger a better match?
Choose a suitable DC-DC charger when the installation needs regulated charging, deliberate current limiting or conversion between different battery voltages. A combiner joins compatible banks under defined conditions. It does not provide those charger functions or replace a battery management system.
Build the complete equipment list first
Compare bank voltage, battery chemistry, source behavior, normal charging current and expected starting demand before ordering. For lithium or mixed-chemistry systems, confirm the required BMS control and charging approach with the equipment manufacturers. A high relay-current rating by itself does not establish compatibility.
