Frequently asked questions

Does one inverter provide 120/240V split phase?
No. One SPH5048P provides 120V. Split-phase output requires at least two correctly configured compatible units, or a native 120/240V model such as the SPH10048P.
Can it send solar power back to the utility?
No utility-export or net-metering claim is made. It is documented as a stand-alone inverter; AC input can be used for bypass and battery charging.
How much solar can I connect?
The current documentation lists up to 5.5kW, but the final array must also stay within the 500V absolute Voc limit, 120–450V MPPT range, 22A input-current limit, and cold-weather correction.
Will it communicate with my lithium battery?
RS485 is available, but closed-loop operation depends on the exact battery protocol, firmware, and cable pinout. Otherwise, approved open-loop voltage settings may be required.
Is Wi-Fi included?
The current official package image does not show a Wi-Fi module for SPH5048P. Treat Wi-Fi/GPRS as optional unless SunGoldPower confirms the exact shipment includes it.
