Direct BMS monitoring for compatible Renogy smart batteries

View state of charge, current, voltage, remaining time and warnings without adding a shunt.

The Renogy RMS-LFPS monitoring screen connects directly to the BMS communication port on selected Renogy Smart Lithium Iron Phosphate batteries. Its backlit wall-mount display shows battery-bank data and warning codes without requiring shunt calibration.

This is not a universal battery monitor. Renogy states that it does not support non-Renogy batteries, and some Smart Lithium batteries purchased before April 15, 2020 may have compatibility issues.

RMS-LFPS is documented for selected Renogy Smart Lithium batteries using RJ45 RS485 communication. Do not connect it to Ethernet equipment or assume that any RJ45 battery port is compatible.

Bank wiringParallel monitoring requires the exact inter-battery RS485 connection order in Renogy's manual and compatible battery generations.
Wall mountThe display measures 2.76 × 4.33 × 1.25 in and should be mounted where the included 16.4 ft cable reaches the first supported battery.
