High-frequency power conversion for serious 12V systems

Run a 3,000W pure-sine inverter and a 150A charger in one compact REGO unit.

The Renogy REGO 3000W HF Inverter Charger combines 12V DC-to-120V AC conversion, shore or generator charging, automatic transfer and built-in monitoring. It is designed for larger RV and off-grid systems that need clean AC power without a separate inverter and charger.

The inverter output is 120VAC. A 240VAC output is available only when the unit is supplied by a compatible 120/240VAC split-phase AC source; it does not create 240VAC from a 12V battery by itself.

Why this Renogy product

One power center for a high-demand mobile or off-grid build

Clean appliance powerPure sine wave output with less than 3% THD is suited to sensitive electronics and motor loads within the inverter rating.
Fast shore-power chargingThe charger is adjustable from 5A to 150A and supports common lead-acid and lithium profiles plus a user-defined mode.
Monitor without another gatewayBuilt-in Bluetooth supports the DC Home app and Renogy ONE M1/Core monitoring; RV-C communication is also supported.

System fit

Size the 12V battery bank and conductors for very high DC current.

A 3,000W load can draw hundreds of amps from a 12V bank after conversion losses. Confirm battery continuous-discharge capability, cable length and gauge, fusing, grounding, ventilation, shore input and neutral-bonding requirements with the current manual and applicable codes.

AC planningVerify continuous and surge wattage, 120V branch-circuit protection, transfer/bypass limits and the exact shore or generator source.
Battery planningUse a 12V bank that can support the required current and the selected charging profile. Do not mix incompatible batteries.

Common questions

Buyer FAQ

Will this make 240V from my 12V battery bank?

No. Renogy states that 240VAC is available only when a compatible 120/240VAC split-phase AC source supplies the inverter/charger.

Can it charge lithium batteries?

Yes, the listed battery modes include lithium and a user-defined profile. The voltage and current settings still must match the battery manufacturer’s limits.

Does it include Bluetooth?

Yes. Renogy lists built-in Bluetooth for the DC Home app and Renogy ONE M1/Core integration.

How much surge can it handle?

Renogy lists 9,000VA for 100 milliseconds, 4,500VA for 5 seconds and 3,600W for 10 seconds. Confirm the complete startup profile of each load.
