Front-and-rear collection in a compact 250W module

Use N-Type TOPCon cells and an 80% bifaciality factor to harvest reflected light.

The Renogy 250W N-Type Bifacial Solar Panel collects direct light on the front and reflected light through the rear. Its 60.9 × 30.0 in footprint suits RV, cabin and marine arrays where a reflective mounting surface and rear clearance can add useful production.

Rear-side gain is site-dependent

Bifacial gain is not guaranteed. It depends on surface reflectivity, panel height, rear shading, mounting rails, sun angle and surrounding geometry.

Why this Renogy product

A high-efficiency panel that can use light from both sides

N-Type TOPCon cellsRenogy markets strong heat behavior and lower long-term degradation than conventional PERC designs.
Bifacial rear outputAn 80% bifaciality factor can add energy when the rear sees reflected light and remains unshaded.
Harsh-environment enclosureThe IP68 junction box/connectors and anodized frame support properly mounted RV, marine and off-grid use.

System fit

Mounting geometry determines whether bifacial is worth it.

The panel is rated 19.52V Vmp, 12.81A Imp, 22.35V Voc and 13.49A Isc. Leave rear clearance over a reflective surface if bifacial gain matters, and include both front and potential rear contribution in conductor and controller design.

Electrical fitConfirm controller voltage, current, power and cold-weather Voc limits before building series or parallel strings.
Rear-side accessOpaque flush mounting can eliminate most rear gain. Elevated racks and light-colored surfaces typically create better bifacial conditions.

Product confidence

Ten-year materials and 25-year output coverage

Renogy lists 10-year parts/material-and-workmanship coverage and 25-year 80% power-output coverage for the 250W bifacial panel. The current written warranty schedule controls.

Common questions

Buyer FAQ

Is 250W the maximum including the rear?

250W is the front-side STC nameplate. Additional rear contribution depends on installation conditions and is not guaranteed.

Does bifacial work when mounted flat to an opaque roof?

Rear gain will be limited when the back is blocked. Elevation and reflective clearance are important.

Can it work with a 12V battery system?

Yes, through a compatible charge controller. Never connect the panel directly to the battery.

Why is there only one product image in the current Torven gallery?

Torven’s source snapshot contains one exact hosted image for this SKU. The description does not substitute unrelated Renogy media.
