Charge a 12V house battery at up to 20A while the engine is running.
The Renogy RBC20D1U is a 12V-to-12V DC-DC charger for maintaining a service battery from a traditional or smart alternator. It provides selectable battery profiles, starter-battery protection logic and an RS485 port for optional monitoring.

No. This model charges from a compatible alternator source only; it has no MPPT solar input.
Does it work with a smart alternator?
Yes, when the input voltage and ignition-signal wiring match Renogy’s documented smart-alternator configuration.
Is Bluetooth included?
No. A compatible BT-2 module is optional. If you are unsure, send Torven Power a photo of the charger label and communication port before ordering the module.
What battery types are supported?
Renogy lists AGM, gel, flooded, LiFePO4 and a user-defined service-battery profile. Settings must still match the battery manufacturer’s limits.
