Safe 12V accessories from a 48V battery

Power lights, audio and USB loads without tapping the main pack incorrectly.

The Epoch 25A DC-DC converter steps a 48V-class battery system down to stable 12V-class accessory power. It is a cleaner choice for golf carts, protected marine and RV electrical compartments, and off-grid systems than feeding 12V electronics directly from a high-voltage lithium battery.

Why it stands out

Centralize low-voltage accessory power

48V-to-12V conversion

Provide a stable 13.5V output for compatible 12V accessories without creating battery imbalance or dangerous direct connections.

25A accessory capacity

Support lights, horn, radio, USB ports and other loads whose combined steady and surge current stay within the published rating.

Key-on trigger wire

A dedicated switched input can let the converter follow the vehicle or system key circuit when wired correctly.

Finned aluminum housing

The heat-sink-style enclosure and mounting tabs support a tidy, secured mobile installation.

Useful anywhere a 48V system still needs 12V loads

  • Golf-cart headlights, turn signals and horns.
  • Radios, soundbars and USB charging ports.
  • Marine and RV accessory circuits in protected electrical compartments.
  • Off-grid controls, fans and other compatible low-voltage loads.

Fit the entire system—not only the headline spec

Add up every accessory's steady and surge draw and stay within 25A. Use correct input and output fusing, polarity, wire gauge, connectors, strain relief and cable protection. Do not use this as a 12V battery charger unless Epoch expressly approves that application.

Installation environment

Keep the converter and wiring protected

Do not treat this converter as waterproof. Install it in a dry, protected location away from direct weather, spray and standing water, and follow Epoch's current mounting and wiring instructions.

Common questions

Why not connect accessories directly to the 48V battery?

Most golf-cart accessories are designed for 12V and can be damaged immediately by full pack voltage. A step-down converter supplies the correct voltage class.

How much can the converter power?

It is rated for 25A at a label output of 13.5V, or about 337.5W. Allow margin for startup surges and verify the load of every connected accessory.

What does the key-on wire do?

When connected to the correct switched circuit, it can turn the converter on with the vehicle or system. Verify the current wiring diagram and never guess at wire functions.

Is the converter waterproof?

Do not treat it as waterproof. Install it in a dry, protected location and follow Epoch's current instructions for the exact installation environment.
