High-output native 48V storage

5.12kWh, 150A continuous output and Victron communication in one sealed battery.

The Epoch C48100A V2 Elite is a rugged 51.2V, 100Ah LiFePO4 platform for premium off-grid solar, marine, RV and backup-power systems. It combines IP67 protection, internal heating, Bluetooth visibility and CAN communication without the indoor-only limitations of a typical server-rack battery.

Why it stands out

More output and environmental protection than a basic rack module

150A continuous at 51.2V

Deliver up to 7,680W of theoretical DC output at nominal voltage before inverter and wiring losses, with a 300A 30-second peak for compatible surge loads.

Victron CAN integration

The BMS can share state of charge, alarms and operating limits with compatible Victron GX systems when cabling, DIP switches, firmware, port speed and DVCC are configured correctly.

IP67 and self-heated

A sealed enclosure suits protected mobile and marine spaces where moisture and dust are concerns, while internal heating supports cold-weather charging within BMS limits.

Parallel expansion

Epoch lists up to sixteen matched batteries in parallel, allowing a properly engineered bank to grow from 5.12kWh to 81.92kWh nominal energy.

Made for premium 48V system builds

  • Off-grid solar and backup: support large 48V inverter systems and expandable energy banks.
  • Marine house and propulsion support: supply compatible 48V loads in a properly restrained and protected installation.
  • Premium RV and overland systems: reduce DC current for high-power inverter loads compared with equivalent 12V architectures.
  • Victron ecosystems: integrate battery data with compatible GX devices for closed-loop monitoring and charge control.

Fit and system check

Treat 48V high-current DC as a professional installation

Native 48V battery: do not connect the C48100A in series. Expand capacity only in parallel under Epoch's current bank rules.

  • Physical size is 20.86 × 8.65 × 12.06 in and weight is 97 lb. Confirm tray, restraint, lifting path, terminal clearance and service access.
  • Epoch lists 100A maximum continuous charging and a 56.8V absorption / 54.0V float profile for non-Victron systems; verify the latest manual before commissioning.
  • The 300A rating is a 30-second peak, not a continuous-load target. Size the inverter, cables, busbars and protection around the complete load and fault-current calculation.
  • IP67 does not authorize permanent submersion, exposed terminals, uncontrolled condensation or pressure washing.
  • Use a qualified installer for conductor sizing, fusing, disconnects, torque, enclosure, communication and commissioning.

Manufacturer protection

3,500+ cycles and an 11-year Epoch warranty

Epoch lists 3,500+ cycles and an 11-year manufacturer warranty for the C48100A. Register within 90 days and follow the current written warranty terms for full coverage.

Common questions

How is this different from the SR48100H rack battery?

The C48100A uses a sealed IP67 Group 8D-style enclosure and a higher 150A continuous output. The SR48100H uses an indoor IP20 3U rack format with 100A continuous output and broader rack-oriented inverter protocols.

Can I wire two in series for 96V?

No. Epoch lists this model for parallel expansion only.

Will it communicate with my Victron inverter?

It supports compatible Victron CAN communication. Confirm the exact GX device, cable, port, firmware, DIP settings and DVCC setup before purchase.

Is this an engine-starting battery?

No. It is a deep-cycle house-power and energy-storage battery.
