The Epoch 36V 50Ah Essential Series battery replaces a three-battery 12V string with one 35 lb LiFePO4 pack. It is aimed at compatible 36V trolling motors, marine electronics and off-grid loads that benefit from a compact Group-31-style footprint and internal heating.

Series connections are not supported; Epoch lists up to four matched batteries in parallel. Confirm the 13 × 6.8 × 9.44 in footprint, 35 lb handling, charger voltage, terminal fit, cable ampacity, breaker/fuse and trolling-motor current before ordering.

Common questions
Can this replace three 12V trolling batteries?
In a compatible 36V system, yes—but verify the motor, charger, cable routing, protection and physical fit before changing architectures.
Is it waterproof?
Epoch lists an IP65 enclosure, which is dust-tight and protected from water jets. It is not an invitation to submerge the battery or ignore terminal and cable protection.
Can I connect two in series?
No. The model is already a 36V-class battery and Epoch lists no series expansion. Parallel expansion is limited to matched batteries under the current manual.
Does heating mean it can discharge and charge at any temperature?
No. Heating supports charging in cold conditions, but the published temperature windows, available charge current and BMS behavior still apply.
