Epoch C12460A | V2 Elite

Nearly 6kWh for a serious 12V house bank.

The Epoch C12460A combines 12.8V, 460Ah and 5.888kWh of nominal LiFePO4 storage in one battery system. Integrated heating, Bluetooth 4.0 and a Victron CAN interface make it a strong foundation for compatible RV, marine and off-grid power systems.

High-capacity 12V storage

Consolidate a large energy bank into one matched battery system.

At 5.888kWh nominal, one C12460A can simplify a high-capacity 12V layout by reducing the number of battery-to-battery connections. Runtime still depends on load, inverter efficiency, temperature and the reserve you choose to keep.

High-current house power

Epoch rates continuous charging and discharging at 230A under the conditions stated in the C12460A datasheet. Cable, fuse, disconnect and inverter sizing must stay within the complete system design.

Battery status at a glance

Bluetooth 4.0 provides local battery monitoring, while the CAN interface supports properly configured Victron communication with compatible devices and the correct connection hardware.

Integrated cold-weather support

Epoch identifies the V2 Elite C12460A as a heated battery. Charging behavior depends on battery temperature, available charging power and BMS control, so follow the current model guide in cold conditions.

Expandable with model-matched batteries

The exact-model datasheet lists support for up to four batteries in series or 16 in parallel. Use matched C12460A batteries, balanced conductors and the current Epoch instructions.

Fit and system compatibility

Measure the compartment and design the complete 12V system first.

Physical fit: the C12460A datasheet lists 20.86 × 8.65 × 12.06 in. Confirm compartment dimensions, hold-down points, lifting access, ventilation, terminal clearance and service access before purchase.

  • Use a LiFePO4-compatible charging system that stays within the model's voltage and temperature limits.
  • Size M8 connections, cables, fuses or breakers, disconnects and busbars for the expected current and applicable installation code.
  • For Victron communication, confirm the required CAN cable, termination, firmware and compatible GX and inverter/charger equipment.
  • Do not assume engine-starting compatibility. Epoch separates purpose-built cranking models from this V2 Elite storage battery.
  • Review the current exact-model instructions before designing any multi-battery bank, especially a combined series-parallel layout.

What's included

Epoch's C12460A packing list confirms one 12.8V 460Ah battery system.

A charger, inverter, power cables, overcurrent protection, disconnects, busbars and mounting hardware are not identified as included in that packing list. Select those parts for the exact installation.

Warranty and safety documentation

Backed by Epoch's 11-year limited battery warranty.

Epoch requires registration within 90 days for full warranty coverage, and the published terms, exclusions and remedy schedule apply.

Epoch's standard safety data sheet lists C12460A and identifies the battery for UN3480 Class 9 transport. Installation, storage, service and shipping must follow the current manufacturer instructions and applicable rules.

Common questions

How much usable runtime does 5.888kWh provide?

5.888kWh is nominal stored energy. Usable runtime varies with load, inverter efficiency, wiring loss, temperature, battery limits and the reserve you keep. Divide your planned watt-hour load by the usable energy available in your finished system for a realistic estimate.

Will it communicate with my Victron system?

The C12460A provides a Victron CAN interface. A working installation still requires compatible Victron equipment, the correct communication cable and termination, supported firmware and the settings in Epoch's current integration instructions.

Can I connect several C12460A batteries together?

Epoch's datasheet lists up to four in series or 16 in parallel. Use the same model with matched age and state of charge, symmetrical wiring and correctly sized protection. Confirm the latest instructions before commissioning a bank.

Does this listing include a charger or remote gauge?

The exact-model packing list confirms one C12460A battery system and does not list a charger or remote gauge. Plan those system components separately unless they appear as named line items in the offer you select.
