High-output 12V house power

4.28kWh with the current headroom serious 12V builds need.

The Epoch 12334A-MC Essential Series combines 334Ah of LiFePO4 storage, a high-output BMS, internal heating, Bluetooth monitoring and Victron communication in a compact metal enclosure. It is designed for large RV, marine house-bank, solar and off-grid systems—not engine cranking.

Why it stands out

A compact battery built for complex 12V systems

High-current BMS

Epoch lists 300A maximum continuous discharge with 150A recommended for normal design, plus a 600A 10-second peak. That gives properly engineered inverter systems substantial headroom without treating peak current as a continuous target.

2A active balancing

Active balancing helps correct cell-voltage differences more aggressively than passive balancing, supporting better pack consistency across demanding charge and discharge cycles.

Victron data network

Built-in communication can share battery data with compatible Victron systems. Correct cable, protocol, firmware and system configuration are required for closed-loop operation.

Heated and app monitored

Internal heating supports charging in cold conditions while Bluetooth provides state-of-charge, voltage and battery-status visibility through the compatible Epoch app.

Best suited to protected 12V energy systems

  • Large RV and motorhome banks: support refrigeration, lighting, electronics, pumps and AC loads through a correctly sized inverter.
  • Marine house power: supply onboard comfort and navigation loads in a dry, protected battery compartment.
  • Off-grid solar: store 4,275Wh nominal energy for cabins, workshops and mobile installations.
  • Expandable 12V banks: parallel up to sixteen matched units under Epoch's current bank-design rules.

Fit and system check

Keep this high-output battery dry and correctly protected

IP21 enclosure: this model is drip-resistant, not waterproof. Use it in a dry, protected, serviceable location away from washdown, standing water and outdoor exposure.

  • Physical size is 15.35 × 8.07 × 11.02 in and weight is 75 lb. Confirm tray, restraint, terminal clearance, lifting path and cable bends.
  • This is a deep-cycle house battery. Do not use it for engine starting or repeated cranking.
  • Use LiFePO4-compatible charging. The official quick sheet prefers 14.2-14.4V bulk/absorption, float disabled when possible, equalization disabled and temperature compensation disabled.
  • Design continuous loads around the recommended 150A operating target unless a qualified system review supports a higher current within the 300A maximum.
  • Use correctly rated cables, busbars, fuses or breakers, disconnects and terminal torque for the full available fault current.

Manufacturer protection

4,500+ cycles and an 11-year Epoch warranty

Epoch lists 4,500+ cycles and an 11-year manufacturer warranty for the 12334A-MC. Register within 90 days of purchase for full coverage and follow the current written warranty terms.

Common questions

Can this battery start an engine?

No. It is a deep-cycle battery for house loads and energy storage. Use a model Epoch expressly rates for cranking when engine starting is required.

Does it communicate with Victron equipment?

It supports Victron communication, but the installation still needs the correct cable, data topology, firmware and charger/inverter configuration described by Epoch.

Can it be mounted outdoors?

No. The IP21 enclosure is intended for a dry, protected location. It is not suitable for rain, washdown or unprotected exterior mounting.

Can I parallel more than one?

Yes. Epoch lists up to sixteen matched units in parallel. Follow its current manual for state-of-charge matching, cable balance, branch protection, communication and commissioning.
