How much solar can I connect?

Use both the published 900W at 12V or 1,800W at 24V recommendation and the electrical limits. The complete array must remain below 100VDC after temperature correction and inside every current limit.

Will it charge lithium batteries?

Published battery selections include Crystal, Gel, AGM, WET, Calcium, LCO, LFP and LTO. The preset still has to match the exact battery maker's required charge voltage, temperature rules and BMS behavior.

Can I place the controller outdoors?

Do not assume weatherproof installation. Follow the stated ingress rating for the connection area, provide required ventilation and keep terminals protected from water, debris and conductive contamination.

What wire and protection should I use?

Size conductors, disconnects and overcurrent protection from maximum circuit current, run length, terminal limits and local code. The controller amperage alone is not enough to choose them.
