Storage capacity you can plan around
1 × 16.08kWh provides 16.08kWh of published stored energy. Actual usable energy and runtime depend on reserve settings, load, temperature and conversion losses.
Indoor floor-standing design
Plan an accessible utility area with a level base, service clearances and a safe handling route. Each battery weighs approximately 315 lb.
Battery communications
RS485 and CAN interfaces support communication with compatible inverters. Confirm cable pinout, battery protocol and firmware before commissioning.
Split-phase output
10kW rated output per inverter supplies 120/240V loads. Balance the 120V circuits and check motor startup demand separately.
Two solar trackers
Two MPPT channels accept up to 11kW of utilized PV per inverter. Design each string to the voltage and current limits in the Specifications tab.
AC charging and backup sources
Use the approved AC-input arrangement to supplement solar charging. APEX-10K has one shared AC input for either grid or generator.

Plan the installation
Solar panels, array racking, installation labor and permits are selected separately. Your installer must specify conductors, disconnects, grounding, overcurrent protection and any required transfer equipment. Match battery discharge capability and charging limits to the inverter settings.
Power and energy are different: this kit stores 16.08kWh. The 1 inverter has a combined nameplate rating of 10kW; this is not a guaranteed battery-only system output. Actual output is limited by the battery bank, wiring, temperature, available input and the approved parallel design.
These are off-grid inverter configurations. AC grid input for charging or bypass does not establish permission to export power to a utility. A battery-and-inverter bundle also does not establish whole-system UL 9540 certification.
Frequently asked questions
Can I add another inverter later?
Parallel expansion must follow the exact model manual, compatible hardware and firmware, approved communications wiring and commissioned settings. Confirm the design before adding units.
How long will this battery bank run my loads?
Dividing 16.08kWh by a constant 1kW load gives 16.08 hours before reserve and conversion losses. This is a sizing illustration, not a runtime promise. Actual usable energy depends on settings and operating conditions.
Are solar panels included?
No. Select panels, racking and site-specific electrical equipment separately.
What warranty applies?
The NEXUS 2 battery has a 12-year limited manufacturer warranty. The inverter has a 5-year limited manufacturer warranty. Registration, installation and exclusions follow the current written manufacturer terms.
