Twice the energy of a 100Ah battery in one 12V case

Store 2.56kWh with Bluetooth monitoring and cold-weather charging support.

The RICH SOLAR ALPHA 2 is a 12.8V, 200Ah LiFePO4 battery for higher-capacity RV, trailer, boat, cabin and backup banks. A 100A BMS supports measured 12V loads, while internal heat and app monitoring make the battery easier to manage across changing seasons.

At a glance

More 12V runtime without building a multi-battery bank

2.56kWhNominal energy
200AhNominal capacity
100AContinuous current
48.5 lbWeight
Use it as a 12V battery—not a series-building block

RICH SOLAR documents up to four identical ALPHA 2 batteries in parallel and does not support series connection. Choose a native 24V or 48V battery for higher-voltage systems.

RICH SOLAR ALPHA 2 battery feature overview

Why it stands out

Built for longer 12V runtimes and easier day-to-day monitoring

2,560Wh in one batteryThe 12.8V, 200Ah rating doubles the nominal energy of a typical 100Ah LFP battery without adding a second case.
100A charge and discharge ceilingThe BMS is rated for up to 100A continuous charge and discharge under the stated operating conditions.
Bluetooth plus internal heatMonitor status from the RICH SOLAR app, while the 100W heater supports charging when battery temperature is at or below 41°F.

System fit

Size the inverter from the 100A battery limit.

At 12.8V, a 100A continuous battery limit is roughly 1,280W of DC power before voltage drop and inverter losses. Large 12V inverters may require multiple properly paralleled batteries or a different battery architecture.

Best-fit systemsHigher-capacity 12V RV and trailer banks, marine house power in protected locations, small cabins and selected backup loads.
Charging requirementsUse a LiFePO4-compatible CC/CV profile at 14.4V ±0.2V. The published recommended charge current is 50A and the maximum is 100A.

Five-year ALPHA Series warranty coverage

RICH SOLAR lists five-year limited, prorated coverage for the ALPHA Series. Eligibility and remedies follow the current written policy, including installation, operating-condition and claim-documentation requirements.

Common questions

ALPHA 2 setup questions

Can I connect two ALPHA 2 batteries in series for 24V?

No. Series connection is not supported. Use a native 24V battery for a 24V system.

How many ALPHA 2 batteries can be connected in parallel?

RICH SOLAR documents up to four identical batteries in parallel. Use matching models and ages, equal-length conductors, closely matched pack voltage and correctly sized protection.

How does the internal heater work?

The 100W heater activates with charging current when battery temperature is at or below 41°F and stops when charging is removed or battery temperature reaches at least 50°F. It does not replace the full temperature rules in the manual.

How much AC power can one battery support?

The battery is limited to 100A continuous discharge. Practical AC output depends on battery voltage, cable loss and inverter efficiency, so size the inverter and loads from the current limit—not the 2.56kWh energy rating alone.
