The RICH SOLAR ALPHA 1 is a 12.8V, 100Ah LiFePO4 battery for RVs, vans, trailers, protected marine house banks, cabins and small backup systems. It combines a 100A BMS, app-based monitoring and cold-weather charging support in a 24-pound case.

A practical 100Ah battery for everyday 12V systems
RICH SOLAR documents up to four identical ALPHA 1 batteries in parallel and does not support series connection. Choose a native 24V or 48V battery when the system voltage is higher than 12V.

The 1.28kWh rating describes stored energy; the 100A limit describes instantaneous current. Confirm both limits, plus cable length, fuse or breaker size, terminal torque and the inverter’s surge demand before installation.

ALPHA 1 setup questions
Can I connect two ALPHA 1 batteries in series for 24V?
No. Series connection is not supported. Use a native 24V battery for a 24V system.
How many batteries can I place in parallel?
RICH SOLAR documents up to four identical ALPHA 1 batteries in parallel. Use matching batteries, equal-length conductors, closely matched voltage and correctly sized protection.
Will the heater let the battery charge below freezing?
The 100W heater supports low-temperature charging by warming the battery when charging current is present and temperature is at or below 41°F. Follow the manual’s temperature limits and heater behavior; do not bypass the BMS.
What size inverter can one ALPHA 1 support?
Start with the 100A continuous discharge limit. Practical AC output is lower than 12.8V × 100A after voltage drop and inverter losses, and surge must also remain within the battery and inverter limits.
