The kit does not have one blanket warranty term.
- Included rigid solar panels: 25-year limited power-output coverage and 10-year limited workmanship coverage.
- ALPHA PRO batteries: 10-year limited coverage.
- NOVA hybrid inverters: 3-year limited coverage.
- Other RICH SOLAR components: generally one year unless the product's written documentation states a different term.
Published prorated schedules
RICH SOLAR identifies the panel, battery, and inverter categories as prorated. Its current policy publishes the following percentage schedules for 10-year items and the 3-year hybrid inverter:
| Covered category | Published schedule |
|---|---|
| 10-year items | Years 1–3: 100%; year 4: 85%; year 5: 70%; year 6: 55%; year 7: 40%; year 8: 25%; year 9: 10%; year 10: 5%. |
| 3-year hybrid inverter | Year 1: 100%; year 2: 65%; year 3: 30%. |
Panel-output schedule: the manufacturer labels the 25-year power-output coverage as prorated but does not currently publish a complete 25-year percentage schedule on its warranty page. Ask Torven Power to request the current written schedule before relying on a specific degradation or reimbursement percentage.
Eligibility and care requirements
- Coverage applies to the original consumer purchaser and is not transferable.
- Keep your Torven Power receipt or other proof of purchase. Manufacturer registration within 30 days can also establish the start date, but the published policy says registration is not required for coverage.
- RICH SOLAR instructs customers to fully charge battery cells within seven days after purchase and at least once every six months afterward.
- Installation, operation, storage, maintenance, and charging must follow the exact product manual. Improper installation or operation, modification, or unauthorized service can void coverage.
Claims, remedies, and common exclusions
After the initial 30-day period, troubleshooting and manufacturer authorization are required before a return. The customer generally pays approved inbound freight. When a defect is confirmed, RICH SOLAR's current policy says it pays shipment of the repaired or replacement product back within North America.
Repair or a functionally equivalent replacement is determined by RICH SOLAR. Exclusions include accident, misuse, misapplication, unauthorized service or modification, altered serial numbers, products made by another company, and purchases through an auction house.
