Editorial & Product Data Standards
Our goal is to make technical products easier to compare without hiding uncertainty, overstating compatibility, or presenting a planning estimate as an engineered result.
1. We use a visible source hierarchy
Primary
Exact-model manuals, current manufacturer pages, data sheets, protocol documents, certification files, and official policy pages.
Supporting
Torven catalog records, packaging lists, supplier files, and revision-specific documents that can be tied to the delivered product.
Not enough by itself
Marketplace copy, a generic family name, a connector that looks similar, or an unsupported calculation found on another retailer's page.
Product revisions change. We therefore use the full model name and suffix where available, record when facts were checked, and ask shoppers to confirm the delivered revision before using specifications for design or installation.
2. “Same voltage” is not a compatibility claim
Compatibility can depend on the full operating voltage and charging window, current, surge behavior, communication protocol and pinout, firmware, addressing, conductor and protection requirements, environmental rating, clearances, dimensions, and the manufacturer's approved topology.
When two official sources disagree, we do not silently choose the more attractive number. We note the conflict, use the more conservative interpretation where useful for planning, and direct the shopper to confirm the exact revision.
3. Calculators show assumptions and limits
Runtime, battery capacity, solar yield, and charge-controller sizing depend on inputs that vary in the real world. Torven planning tools and calculators should identify the formula, show editable assumptions, and distinguish an estimate from a manufacturer limit.

4. Torven is a retailer, and product links can lead to a sale
Torven Power sells many of the products discussed in its guides. A guide may link to relevant products or collections, and a purchase can benefit Torven. That commercial relationship does not change the standard for technical claims: model-specific facts should still be supported by current primary material, conflicts should still be disclosed, and products should not be presented as universally compatible.
Comparison articles describe documented differences and practical decision factors. Unless a page explicitly states otherwise, they are not hands-on laboratory tests or endorsements by an independent standards body.
5. Updates and corrections are part of the process
Review triggers
A manufacturer revision, broken product link, conflicting specification, discontinued model, customer correction, or material policy change triggers review.
Send a correction
Email support@torvenpower.com with the page URL, exact model, disputed statement, and the current manufacturer document.
Material corrections should update the affected page and its review date. Historical search or pricing changes are not treated as product-specification evidence.
